Board Officer, President

James is the founder of Bwenzi and has been passionate about student leadership since his undergraduate days. He also works as an insights & analytics leader with experience across nonprofits, healthcare, and media. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry & Biophysics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as well as an MBA from New York University.

ERIN BALAS

Board Officer, Secretary

Erin manages environmental compliance and regulation in the state of NJ. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Science and M.S. in Geology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

CATHERINE GRIMALDI

Board Member

Catherine is an IT & Operations leader within the medical technology space. She’s traveled to Malawi as part of Bwenzi’s student projects and holds a B.S. in Business & Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

KATHERINE BALAS

Board Member

Katherine oversees the implementation and evaluation of numerous clinical research studies within the healthcare space. She holds her B.S. in Neuroscience and B.A. in Psychology from the University of Vermont, as well as an M.S. in Epidemiology from George Washington University.

ADRIAN PANGILINAN

Board Officer, Treasurer

Adrian is a Vice President in the Asset and Wealth Management Division at Goldman Sachs. He also serves on the board of the International Society of Filipinos in Finance and Accounting (ISFFA). He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
